Could you please clarify? I checked my achievement list, it says I already was awarded the skin.

whenever you get a reward (a new skin, an enhancement for a gun), you will get it in a box. To open them, go to the menu and you will find it above the ''quit'' button. That's called ''unopened crates''

It's the same menu you received your weapon unlocks from for basic troopers.
