How to unlock weapons

Hi! picked up the game last night been having fun leveling up the heavy. but i can not for the life of me work out how to unlock the weapons.

in the loadout screen it says the next gun the dc-15le is done through milestones, i check under careers/troopers and in the completed ones it lists kill 50/50 enemy with heavy , reward dc-15le.

the progress bar under the weapon is full, the milestone has been achieved but its still locked. what am i missing?

Dice really sucks with game menus, so everything is overly complicated and unintuitive.
On your loadout screen, you see the progress bars below every weapon. If one is full and the new weapon unlocked, you have to open what used to be the lootboxes. You find them in the main menu in the lower left (or right?) corner. You'll receive a single "card" with the weapon. Works the same for weapon unlocks.

as the guy above said credits? im guessing as i got the celebration bundle there of no use to me? or is there a shop hidden somewhere?

Credits don't have any use now, since the whole lootbox BS got removed.

yeah i didn't undestand the credits eithers.

I'm also confused as to once completing the first mission in campaign I have a skill point but honestly have no idea where it goes.

your skill points are used to unlock your star cards which are basically your abilities that you can use

ROck and roll! It finally told me in the 3rd mission lol but started unlocking cards for me as I am progressing. Its kind of weird that they kept all the currency in game when it serves no purpose anymore....maybe to remind us...or themselves.

im not sure because im downloading the game after like 1 month, and played on ps4, but im pretty sure the credits are used to buy customization for troops. thats at least what it was like a little while ago.

Yupp, that's what they were used for. But the steam version has all of them unlocked already.

question it says i did it but theres no loot box.
