It's alive and still going. There are some dedicated players still playing but since there are 0 updates now because the game is complete, it will probably die down by next year.
Starfighter is dead though.Everything else is fine.

I was thinking the same thing. I think this game will live on for quite a while. Two reasons:

1) New Star Wars Battlefront 3 or what ever new name they give it - won't come until 2022. EA just released Star Wars Squadrons which is completely a different genre. We have Battlefield 6 coming out in 2021. and I don't think they will release two big AAA games in the same year.

Battlefield 1 - 2016
Battlefront 2 - 2017
Battlefield 5 - 2018
Squadrons - 2020
Battlefield 6 - 2021
Battlefront 3 - 2022?

2) Even if multiplayer dies after one year as mentioned above, you have custom battles with AI. I heard AI is pretty good. So you can have tons of fun even if you find multiplayer to be hard/uninteresting/dead/toxic and etc. A lot of content and replayability is offered here.

Graphics are still top notch.

It wasn't complete, EA just moved the people in Dice working on it to Battlefield 6, they could have added a lot more, and they were, but sadly they didn't have time to add them in the final update.

It's at least worth the current $15 even if you can only play it this year before it's gone.
It's not a bad game overall, EA just got mad greedy at the start.

Oh I really don't mind seeing a quality BF game being released. Last two were ♥♥♥♥♥.

It's alive, but it takes forever to get into a match. Sometimes you are lucky though and you'll quickly get into one.

Alive, i played bf5 and bf1 before the Battlefront2. Its much better their online. My maximum waiting time is 15 sec.
