Just bought the game and it's giving me infinite loading on the picture of helmets.

I don't know what's going on and I cannot find a fix for it via Google. I was wondering if anyone else is expericing this bug? I really don't want to get this game refunded but I'm having no luck getting this bug fixed. Like I said in the title it's stuck on the picture of the helmets and the star wars battlefront 2 logo... Please help :(

I managed to get to the main menu when deleting the "STAR WARS Battlefront II" Folder located under My Documents but loading into the Single Player story took me straight back to the infinite loading screen... Oh my god :( This took me 5 hours to download too. I did not expect this.

I have the same problem. I can load into the game just fine, but it dose take a little bit(1.5-2 minutes) but if I die I get anywhere from 5-10 minutes load times(single player). If I am really lucky it will only be 1 minute but that only happened twice.
So far, I have verified the game files both on steam and origin. Disabled full screen optimization,Tried running game as admin but it wont launch. tried running in borderless window (ram jumped from about 10.5 GB to 22GB on the loading screen) and no I am not using DX12. Tried deleting the battlefront 2 folder in my doc's.
Here is my rig https://imgur.com/a/kUGxbxZ and the game is running on a WD black sn750 nvme drive that only has games on it, no other programs or files.
I can't find any real fixes on google or ea support.

If anyone knows how to fix this, I am sure me and everyone else in this thread would greatly appreciate it:

same problem, ive dl drivers, updated everything, switched of vpn, deleted folders, checked files.....I give up, and they refuse a refund.

This happens to me only if I have slow internet connection, but guess that wont be the problem here or?...

Anyway try to add game to exceptions for your firewall/virus protection program, reset rooter...

I got stuck on the first helmet load screen aswell on first startup...

For that one i just restarted the game a couple times and it loaded fine.

Also had the long load times on singleplayer.... but only specific missions. Ground only missions with no transition seem to work really well, where sections involving flight and foot gameplay take a lot longer.

For this one setting textures to high (instead of ultra) almost halved my load times on the longer ones.

Are we all on HDD experiencing this? Seems to me the texture files are so big an ssd should be on the recommended specs. Anyways hope this helps someone out :)

It's a server issue I'd say--happened to me too. It smooths out.

I guess I should have looked at the discussions before my purchase. I've had nothing but problems with this game. Infinite loading screen, crashes and uncontrollable spinning in circles just to name a few. You think that you fix the problems just to have them happen the next time you try to play. I would not recommend!

try alt-tabing to the desktop, move a window around (ie the steam or origin window), then alt-tab back to the game. I had an issue where it would keep saying loading, but if I hit "esc" I'd hear a beep. After playing around I found that worked, the buttons were back where they should be on the screen & i could continue.
