Already own on Origin, worth buying again on steam?
Say what you like about Origin, but their prices are always better then steam when it comes to sales. I manage to pick this up there for $5 so I know it's not worth the $20 they're charging here. My question is adding a non-steam game the same as buying it on steam? Do you still need to open Origin to run it? Or am I better off buying it again?

Check the store page for details regarding Origin.

The greatest no go, for me at least, is that they force you to open their launcher anyway... So its not really a difference if you already own it on Origin...

Sad really, i want to know if this is temporary or a permanent thing like Ubisoft

If you have the standard edition on Origin it might worth if you care about the skins. If not then pass.

In my opinion, there is no point if you already own the game through origin. You get nothing different here.
The game still requires a origin account. So you aren't even avoiding their launcher completely.

I bought again because it was $20 and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of skins that I wanted.

Call me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but I at least found it worthy of the price.

$20 for all the skins isn't terrible. At least it's for something more than only "I wanna launch it through steam and see it in my library"

I'm not into paying for just cosmetics, so I guess I'll give it a pass. May pick it up if it gets really dirt cheap which I really doubt with recent changes in steam sales. Thanks guys.

So.. even though you may already own it on Origin, and since you have to log-in to Origin to launch it, if you're buying it on Steam you're basically just buying the right to get Steam achievements, cards, etc? Can't be right. In fact, sounds like a scam tbh. Should be able to directly link your Origin account without having to purchase a "second copy" via Steam.

True. Good answer and end it. No addition personal matter intervenes later and so on.

a lot of people still don't own the SWBF2. This really isn't for the people who already bought the game.

If you play it with origin you still play online with steam members playing the game, so it doesn't matter, the playerbase is still the same.
