Does this game have private matches?

I know the first SWBF had private matches for the Hero duel mode, what about SWBF2? I play just with my brother online, so we would need to be able to do private matches with just 2 players, I recall some EA games required a minimum amount of players to be able to setup a private match, is this true for SWBF2 too?

Are there any other online match types that can be done with just 2 players via private match? If so, which ones?

We don't mind going against bots, but we don't like doing public matches.

Any info on this stuff would be greatly appreciated.

There kinda are but only in two game modes, i believe. In Hero Showdown which is 2vs2 with only heroes, and coop which is 4 players against bots. If you have 3 friends to play then you have private match.

But i believe you can start playing coop with 2 players in lobby i think.

Can we do hero showdown with just me and my brother? Or do we need 4 players to do this mode? I’m glad that co-op will work with just 2 players. Can you play as the heroes and villains in co-op? Or is it just with regular soldiers?

To get the "private" match in hero showdown you need to coordinate 2 premade teams to try and end up in the same server, even then you might be only able to do one game before the matchmaking system separates you, generally it isn't worth doing. Co Op you can play as soldiers, reinforcements, and heroes

Okay, is there’s a way to get rid of the 3rd and 4th players if they join during the co-op match? Is there friendly fire in co-op?

Is co-op like TDM, but just against bots?

No you can't just do 2 players only (also it's team only, no versus). Co op has defend and attack, it plays sort of like wave defense. Also there is no friendly fire

Can we play as the villains? Or are you forced to only play as the Rebels?

You can pick whatever faction though depending on the map they are fixed when they defend or attack. For example the Empire defends on Endor and the Rebels attack.

You can play in coop as any faction, in eny era and you can choose to play as normal soldiers, vehicles or heroes.
