Heck part of me wants to see it added to arcade mode but the fact that you have to bounce the ball up and through the door it is what drove me crazy.
Having to finagle a pinball in a precise location to progress is what put me off of playing sonic spinball ever again
If there's any advice I can give, it's that you absolutely should be going for the red rings early on if you can to increase your score multiplier, but don't just go for every single one - if you have a really good multiplier (x64 or x128) but the red ring is in a tricky to reach or dangerous spot, don't try to go for it; just let the regular rings and bumpers score big for you. Don't get greedy, lest you risk draining the ball through the outside lanes and having your multiplier reset to x1.
Then they made me play sonic spinball for a half hour. I hate sonic spinball, and pinball in general. Genuinely the worst part of the game so far, and it isn't even close. Wouldn't have even been that bad if the score required wasn't so stupidly high.
I'm curious, does moving the analog stick influence the trajectory at all? When I held it in the opposite direction from the gutters, the ball seemed to not fall in. Might just be my imagination though.
I'm replying a little late, but this is is really excellent. Knowing that both open-world games and Sonic games have crazy speedrun scenes I'm excited to see what else develops from them in the future.
The problem with pinball is that it requires such a high score combined with the fact that the multiplier completely resets if you lose a ball, as someone already suggested if the multiplier didn't reset completely then pinball wouldn't be much of a problem.
what i used to get out of bounds and explore the cut/unfinished islands/areas.
