People have just rate it by their first impressions. When youve played at least 6h of this thing, its a lot different. That was my case.

okay I hate the fact i think this but it really got old so fast. I was searching for speedrunning techs before i even finished the game, just fishing for the vault keys and speeding off. the physics engine doesn't even work right. it's so mid.

It's not a bad game by any means but it's certainly not a great one. I like the direction they've gone with it but it feels very unpolished, almost like they just rushed it out of the door three quarters way through production. Needs a lot of patching.

17 hours in and I'm still recommending it, even if it's a little jank and repetitive because I do think they nailed the foundation that is not only fun but solid.

I think the rating of people who own it and played is more valuable than those who haven't.

Steam users aren't hesitant at bombarding a bad game with negative reviews.

I don't think this game is the best game but why do you care if a lot of people like it or recommend it? Its based of their experience their is nothing stopping the people who feel otherwise from negatively reviewing the game. There are also MANY games on steam that don't deserve their overwhelmingly positive or very positive but have it so why does it matter if sonic frontiers is one of those.
