What's the point of the Drop-dash?
Things like drop dash and spin dash feel pointless in a game that has boosting (Sonic Rush has this problem too). I know Drop Dash has a hitbox, but I didn't encounter any situation where you'd need to take advantage of that. If anything it's screwed me over more than it helped, from trying to make precise platforming in Cyberspace and going careening off the edge because I accidentally had the jump button held down.

you can build up speed continuously as you roll downhill
you can drop dash on ice (you can't boost on ice, you will trip and slide off)
you can drop dash uphill and it's faster than boosting

I think they added it because they are throwing everything at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall to make people like Sonic.

I mean, people love the drop dash right? So why not put it in Frontiers? I seriously think thats their line of thinking.

Coming from someone who bought the game and enjoys it over all, that is.

yes brother, they tried to shove all the mechanics they saw somewhere else into one sonic game to appeal to wider audience or whatever and it was the fatal flaw. this game doesn't look nor feel like a sonic game. not to mention it's a low-quality game, to the point it resembles a really bad fan game

YOU CAN DROP DASH ON ICE? Jesus, I thought they just wanted us to go around. Never thought of trying that.

No it's not. The Drop dash uses momentum, boosting does not. Using it up an incline will only slow you down, while boosting is less susceptible to momentum. Also I found one use of the drop-dash: the 2d sections in cyberspace are faster drop dashing rather than boosting, although don't try it up a hill or through a loop because the game will often expect you to be boosting instead and these sections will sometimes break.

Have you tried spamming it? You can accelerate up like, 80 degree walls by spamming it.
