And giving Sonic kids is the same as Mario having kids : it'd be unfitting and honestly against the characters and Status Quo.

Mario getting a kid wouldn’t be super weird, I could see Mario and Peach officially marrying at some anniversary as a promotional thing and Mario has a kid or something afterwards. It’s at least way more likely than sonic ever even being in any sort of canonical relationship.

Not saying the Mario thing is particularly likely, just more likely than anything sonic romance related

People seem to forget that Sonic is a self conscious anthro, not an animal. And yeah, haters of furries will deny this and say he's just an animal when the actual characteristics here are not as "simple" as they think it is. But yes, Sonic has never done any real romance so far.

Even in the movies, he gets friends, focuses his life on comedy or serious fighting but he never really gets into relationships. It's fine because it suits the character. It doesn't mean it will never change, though. Let's just agree Sonic and Amy will never really work, yes?

In fact, in a more realistic way would be Peach having an aliance with Bowser to simply stop the war (and because they're both of royalty, Mario is just a peasant/worker when you think about it).


Peach prefers to stay independant which is understandable but Mario marrying Peach is just not right.

Yeah, many cutscenes in Sonic Riders, possibly Adventure, other games are just him going "bye" and leaving Amy alone as long as she's safe. He will speed to her if she is in danger but he will not do anything else further than saving her. Friendship and no romance at all. :P
