does dlc is worth playing?
Let's be honest main game is boring waste of time, where open word exist just to collect xxx tokens to watch cutscenes which serving no purpose other than promoting previous games (because amount of refrence to previous games events is ridicolous).

Stages are just 4 assets used from previous games (radical highway, chemical plants, sky sanctuary and green hill) and they last 2 min max.

Voice acting is mediocre at best... Sonic sounds like he don't even want to speak half of time.

Only saving grace is music but music alone doesn't make game good.

parry is so hilariously laughble it is famous meme on tic toc for how bad it is.

so here is my question does dlc is any better and if so how and why?

NO. The Final Horizon "dlc" was the worst thing ever created of this game, as it resulted being just frustration and unenjoyable pain incarnate. A complete mess up like that does not even deserve being accepted as an "update" for a game like Frontiers, thing for which sega and sonic team have to be ashamed forever.

Outside of a handful of frustrating moments here and there, I really enjoyed the challenge that Final Horizon presented and is worth experiencing if you found the base game far too easy even on the highest difficulty. Also, you get to play as Sonic's friends in their Cyberspace form, with all of their signature abilities, something I wished the base game allowed you to do. :FrontiersTails:

Plus, it was added as part of a free update, so you may as well give it a shot anyway. The biggest complaint I personally had with it is that IMO the regular ending is better than the Final Horizon ending. :FrontiersKnuckles:

We all know sega was like "We'll do it like Breath of the wild...mix in some souls empty space post calamity world and then take only the lessons we learned from sonic 3d via the saturn and make a whole game of it".

Know what is peak sonic for me? Washed out open worlds with almost zero vibrance.
Just like how the Sonic brand is known for. You know how sonic is always battling it out in faded backgrounds and foregrounds. I can't even imagine a sonic game with vibrant colors. I am so glade they left em out.

For real though why is that the only places green is not depressing shade 003 is in the rehashed asset flips of cyberspace.

I still love this game though. Then again I enjoy forces...so....yeah. Not alot of good choices here by me. DO better me.

The Final Horizon DLC is literally the only part of this game worth playing. It saved the game from being one of the most boring Sonic games for me.

you didn't even say why
very...convincing argument, i love shortminded opinion made by people who can say black is black and white is white without even understand what colours are...
if you know what i mean.

Well, the reason is because it's the most fun part of the game, obviously. You get to play as Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sonic, Sonic's towers aren't mind-numbingly easy like the rest of the game is, and the final boss gets a new phase and a new form that isn't just the moon who talks for 10 minutes. Anything more and I'll be spoiling the final boss fight. Also, it introduces a new mechanic called perfect parry where you have to actually time your parry vs. simply holding it, as was your complaint. Though the boss animations are so stupid that you'll probably wish you didn't have to time it lol.

Yes it is, bump it to normal mode or easy tho. people don't do this thinking its not worth it.

Yeah, definitely change the difficulty to normal or easy for the boss fights that require use of perfect parry, especially the gauntlet. All it does it increase the window that you can perform a perfect parry.

Looks like someone around here is giving out free steam points to people they disagree with.

In regards to the actual DLC, it's generally all harmless additions and most of it is free so there's not really any reason not to grab it unless you don't want it, but none of the DLC is crucial to the game or anything.

As for the free update content, that's all pretty solid to be honest. The release version of Another Story was notoriously difficult but later patches to the game made it more accessible on Normal and Easy modes. The only real nitpick I've ever had with it in regards to actual content is that the open zone boss fights eventually become pathetically easy for Amy, Knuckles, and Tails and yet at the same time fully upgraded Sonic can barely put a dent in them.
