Mod for button mashing
Just did the first boss fight. My thumb kinda hurts. I don't mind pressing X each attack, but when I have to press X as fast as I can in order to fill a bar, that's a problem

Is there a mod that removes it or makes it so a single press is all you need?

Neat tip, if you're using a controller you can just rotate the left stick for all button mash sections.

Steam has "Turbo" already: https://youtu.be/04o6TBJtHlk?si=DuIttrY6bin5a0bH&t=208
I'll try it out later, but judging from that video it seems to only work for the triggers and the button mashing is for X. I also don't know if it's going to have me accidentally activating turbo in normal game mode when I start to press L

Steam's controller settings is very in-depth and allow lots of customization. It's pretty long to write but I'll try.

Do this:
- Start your controller
- Select Sonic Frontiers in your library > Click the controller icon near the top-right (alternatively, right-click the game > Manage > Controller layout)

Controller Settings should now open up. Click "Edit Layout".
- Right-click the X button > Add extra command > Navigate to GAMEPAD tab and select X button

X button should now execute 2 commands, "Command 1: X Button" and "Command 2: X Button".
- Right-click "Command 2" > Change "Regular Press" to "Long Press".
- Right-click again > Settings > Tick "Hold to Repeat (Turbo).

All done. X button will now execute two commands: A hold press will repeat "X".

Seems promising. Are there any events in the game that require holding X? That may cause issue with those

just use the directional buttons like others said. why ignore their comments?

Who said to use the dpad? What "others"? There's two guys and you. The guy who explained what/how to do specified mapping X and having it to be holding X, not the dpad. clearly I don't understand how the steam turbo works so I'm unsure if you can map it to another button since the only instructions I saw were to use the same button. Go be a pest somewhere else

this guy literally told you what you wanted to know. a nice way to skip the button mashing section

practically everyone else in this threads are just overcomplicating a solution that is *already* in the game. just spam wasd or the joystick and it registers as a mouse click.
