New horizons starfall

Is there any way to turn this off?
the flashing icons are driving me up a wall

No, unfortunately there isn't... at least officially. See, while the Slot Machine of the base Starfall is toggleable in the settings, the "Starfall Slot Machine" option does not affect Starfall+ due to it not dropping stars or being connected to the slot machine at all.

Your best options are either NOT staring at the top left side of the screen or toggling the top left HUD display in the settings (meaning no Gear, Lookout Koco, regular Koco and the Stat Seeds being visible without bringing up the map screen)

thanks for the response. i'm using hedgemodmanager to be to skip time and skip the event.
but i ended up not playing anymore because new horizons is terrible and completely destroyed my will to play sonic games
