Unlocking spin dash across saves?

I have a save file where I completed the original story and a file for new game + I just started. I learned that you need to complete the action challenges in order to unlock the spin dash but realize that action challenge completion doesn’t carry over across saves. Does this mean that I need to pass the challenges over again on each new save? If I unlock the spin dash on my original file, can I make a new new game + file and carry the spindash over to that?

Spin dash carries over to NG+. I suggest going back to unlocking it before starting NG+.
