I also noticed this patch increased the performance on this game on my potato PC, now I get better FPS on open zone and the VRAM leak issue and you die and respaw seens to be gone, because the game doesn't turn into a slideshow after the "Try Again" screen anymore.
Also, thanks Sonic Team for fixing the timer on Cyberspace, makes Time Attacking much easier.
Mods just don't work for me at all now but it doesn't crash. I load the game up as usual and it's just Sonic. Admittedly I know updates break Mods but ffs this game has been out over a year now and admittedly I'm really pissed off because of this.
I agree a patch was needed but you have to admit they did go a bit overboard with the new characters.
