[DLC] [Solved] stuck on the final boss

hi so i'm stuck on The End and i do not know what to do, the boss regens past half hp and cylooping or parrying doesn't prevent that. i've seen a letsplayer target its neck but i cannot, i tried shoving myself in there, spamming the targetting button, nothing allows me to hit it. not even aoe attacks allow me to wiggle that cord around like what happened in others' letsplays. Is there a way around it? thanks in advance!

update: i managed to boost into it and i realize there is *no target* for the neck, it simply cannot be hit, theres no hitbox either. i'll see if restarting the game may help

you mean doing a homing attack on the cable? how can i do that if i can't target it? i tried spamming the attack button blindly but it didn't work, i can't fly upwards to aim at the cable and it had no hitbox last time i tried, i'll see if restarting was relevant or not.

i tried the best i could i simply cannot target the cable, the game locks in on its head and i can't hit anything else despite a full restart. thats effectively locked from me for no reason and i do not know how to proceed with the game as is. lets hope an update solves this i guess :/

ok so InbetweenGamer on yt mentioned that you have to sidestep while attacking to get the cord, lets see if its works. if it does i'll post the link and save the thread as solved. i have to say though, the game NEVER mentioned side stepping, neither did it say anything about the intricacies of supreme's fight, base and dlc, neither did it say about tails' mechanics for the last robot kocos, neither did it say about what the black kocos were for since the beginning of the dlc. im getting upset over this so i'll just say straight up not communicating about the new mechanics is a big flaw of the dlc as a whole. its still cool, but really rough around the edges and i felt annoyed with my experience of the game.

Once you target and homing attack Supreme's head and combo hit a few times, you press the sidestep/ dodge button/key (depending on your controller/ keyboard layout) and it allows you to target and attack the cord attached to the head.

Its similar to the fight with Knight when the game targets the shield but pressing dodge mid combo allows you to fly behind it and attack the titan.
