Help - Game no longer launching - Fixed

Edit: I fixed my version, not to say it'll work for everyone but it worked for me

TLDR: Clean reinstall / High priority on graphics card

Anyone know how to get the game to launch?

It launched before update, now it doesn't. I click play, it sits "loading" for maybe 10 seconds then closes. No window opens. No errors given.

I have repaired Visual C++, restarted the PC, given Admin perms to the .exe, given it dedicated graphics card access, verified files multiple times, optimised the game via the graphics card app, tried launching through steam and via the graphics card app and still nothing. Even clicking the .exe does nothing.

I've yet to try reinstalling... anyone else encountered this? Any ideas before I uninstall and reinstall??

Are you using integrated graphics? It seems to be a problem with that for everyone :/

I think windows was using integrated graphics card but I've now pushed it to use the Geforce NVIDIA graphics card on high performance, still nothing

same problem here is it possible to go back to the old versions at least just to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

I'm not sure to be honest, but I'm trying a reinstall right now to see if that works as I have no other ideas to try. I'll update here with what I find

Same thing happens to me,I've tried everything that there is to test.I think our best bet is to just wait for the game to get patched. IF it gets patched.

I did a clean reinstall and it now loads fine on full screen and has no issues loading

Before reinstalling, I made sure the Sonic Frontiers folder in the Steam installation directory was completely clear of all files APART FROM my save game folder which still held all my save games

It is also on High Performance on the graphics card

By any chance did you do a clean reinstall of Steam aswell? Im in the process of reinstalling the game clean (aka removed the directories of the games and stuff).

No I didn't touch steam, just a clean install of Sonic Frontiers

Good news it started doing more than just close every 10 seconds. Bad News, it says "Sorry, something went wrong. For solutions visit : " and it directs to denuvo's site saying "You can no longer authenticate on new devices
Currently your game purchase cannot be re-validated successfully, please wait 24 hours and try again."

I worked down the list, step by step and after trying all that with no luck, I reinstalled the game from scratch as mentioned above which worked.

If all that fails for you and it still doesn't run or it runs like crap, I've got nothing

Here's what I did:

1- Uninstalled the game (dunno if it's necessary, but do it just in case)

2- DELETE THE GAME'S CONFIG FILE!!! :FrontiersSage:
Open Windows Explorer, type %APPDATA% and look for a "Sega" folder. Inside this folder, delete the Sonic Frontiers subfolder.

3- Reinstall the game

EDIT: If I set the game to run on borderless window, it breaks again. And full screen doesn't go full screen at all. Using the app "Borderless Gaming" (available on Steam) does the job.

EDIT2: The game is running like a slideshow now, even with everything set to Low!! 😠
Man, they really broke this one...







for me it open but like they said it ran at 4 fps
