Game Won't Boot at All and I've Tried Everything
Hey I've never posted anything before, but I have been trying every solution people are posting to try getting this game to work. For anyone wondering, I bought Digital Deluxe.

I cannot get the game to even start. No black screen, no crash, it only says "running" for thirty seconds before stopping. I cannot access the mini album either. I am essentially completely locked out of this game and never even got to see the opening scene.

I bring up that I bought DD is because I have no clue if this is the issue or not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game three times, put it on high performance, checked integrity each and every time, did compatibility checks, updated every driver under the sun--nothing. I have all specs for it to run at recommended settings at the very least.

I don't see anyone having answers for this, and I've been trying for a collective four or more hours trying to get this to work. I really want to play this game, and if anyone has any solutions that worked for them (if anyone actually got this to work) it would be appreciated. This is genuinely one of the saddest days in my life as a lifelong fan preordering a game for the first time. I have friends who were able to play this game fine on pc, why is this happening to only some people?

hey i'm having the same issue. click play, a few seconds pass, then a little dialogue window "SonicFrontiers.exe has stopped working" no details or anything. doesn't even leave a crash log.

What model is your CPU, does it support AVX/SSE4 per requirements?

Try manually installing these redistributables:

DXSETUP.exe
Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010

VC_redist.x64.exe
Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2019

Tried that, sadly it didn't work

Would be easy to do if I wasn't gifted the game.

If your Win 10 installation is already up to date, it might be worth trying the latest AM4 chipset drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support

When RDR2 launched I had to update mine to get it running.

Thanks, I'll give this a shot tomorrow. I last updated my chipset a few years ago, and I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 1800X to a Ryzen 5800X last month, so I guess it would be a good idea to update it even if it doesn't help.

EDIT: I actually just updated the chipset drivers, and unfortunately, it made no difference. I still can't launch the game.

so this thing was happening to me as well. i found a fix. do you run mods by chance?

the thing i did was i went into the sonic frontiers folder and deleted everything but image, savedata, and SonicFrontiers.exe. i tried to run the game and an error showed up. what i did after was go into steam and verify integrity of game files.

after it was done it notified me that i was missing 1 file.

i ran the game and it worked. let me know if it worked for you.

I've never run mods. The game has never opened for me. No error message, nothing.
