Steam in the top left corner --> Settings --> Controller --> General Configuration
Make sure Switch configuration support and "Use Nintendo Button Layout" are checked.
The ps4 icons are black and white like the PS5's but it actually shows PS4
Im having this same issue and nowhere do I see this.. I just see "Disable STeam Input" "Use Default Settings" or "Enable Steam Input"
I have Nintendo enabled in Steam's settings. What am I missing here?
I think you're clicking on the gear to get into the game properties. What you want is below that. There's a row of options starting with "store page" on the left, and if your controller is connected you'll see "controller layout" on the right (or 3 dots indicating a drop down menu if the window is too small to display them all)
Steam has updated the controller settings UI since this post. you now have to open controller settings which is on the right side of the Steam launcher, enable Steam Input if it's not already, then click the large grey button that shows the current button profile, and you want to select the tab that say "Community Layouts"
I don't have an official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, but when setting up my KK2P*, Steam Input would show the reverse of the correct A/B and X/Y input, whether "Use Nintendo Button Layout" is set or not. That is, if it's not set, the button listed as A is actually B. If it is set... the button listed as A is still actually B. It seems to me that the display of A/B and X/Y in Steam Input's configurator is set to the opposite of that switch, but the function of the buttons in-game are correct.
