Sonic keeps randomly doing light speed dash

didn't find any other threads talking about this or any potential solution/workaround, so I will post it here.

me and my friend have encountered a bug where Sonic will suddenly do a light speed dash when he is near any collectible (rings, skill seeds, etc.) even if the light speed dash button is not pressed.

if anyone knows of a potential fix, I would appreciate it.

also, I am playing on Xbox Series X if that helps.

my friend is playing it here on Steam, tho
