Need help with refund

Hello, I'm writing in this section because I can't find any information relating to my issue. I bought Sonic Frontiers on the website "Instant Gaming" a few days ago but when I'm playing the game, I face some issues, with lags, graphic quality issues and dissatisfaction with the gameplay. So I would like to get a refund, but I've already entered the code provided by Instant Gaming on Steam, and they say that we can't get a refund in this case, and Steam can't do anything themselves seeing that they are not the suppliers. Do you have any advice or tips on how I can get my money back?

My advice is to read EULAs, TOSs, and TOUs before purchasing something. You're not getting your money back.

Another piece of advice: in the future, buy directly from Steam or other storefronts if you want to take advantage of their return policies (which you should also read before purchasing), because key sellers don't give you refunds - the key becomes useless the moment it's used.

Yes, next time buy the game directly from Steam, Steam manages refund system really simple. If you buy in a third party website, be sure to read everything or at least it has to be really cheap or you have to be sure that's the game you want.

Now wait for patches etc and enjoy as much as you can.

always buy through steam directly! you get the 2 hour or 2week return policy with steam as long as you played less than 2 hours and owned less than 2 weeks steam will give you a full refund, even if you just plain old dont like the game!

Contact Instant Gaming and keep on trying to see if the refund is possible. Though, as others have said, next time, always buy steam games through steam and read the TOS before buying from a 3rd Party.

doubt they would refund since the key has been used and cannot be re-used, even if OP proves he asks steam to remove game off his account this is the risk of buying from 3rd party websites as they cannot resell the key to anyone else.

If you, on average, return one in ten games (i.e. 10%) buying it on humble with a 20% discount (EDIT: compared to the steam price) is the better option even if you can't return it. Only if the chance of you wanting a return exceed 20% Steam becomes better.

You're assuming every game costs the same, though, which is not the case. You're also assuming the same return rate across all genres and a bunch of other things that may not necessarily be true.

It's actually independent of price (see edit)

And of course the buyer should use the best method of determining the refund chance available to them.

iirc even "it's cheaper now" is a valid reason for a refund on steam
