Is the game worth getting?
I am a long time sonic fan I am planning to get this game eventually but is it worth getting in your opinion? I have not really been entertained by any recent sonic games lately the last ones that caught my attention were Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes.

That's not how Denuvo works, though.

Or... you could just be a fan of this kind of game to enjoy it? You don't have to be a Sonic fan to like it.

Who even cares about some online review, though? It's not your opinion so it's invalid.

So... based upon all of the other threads you're posting in specifically about Denuvo and not owning the game - you're here in a shill capacity?

I despise Denuvo as much as everyone else here does, but spreading misinformation against it is arguably even worse than that as it not only doesn't help your point in the slightest, but the "shills" can easily use these points against us.

I'm actually really liking it so far. I haven't really played anything since Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 on the Dreamcast (briefly played Generations and liked and picked up Colors), but neither of those grabbed me quite like this. Definitely check it out if you get the chance down the line. Or could always jump the gun, make the purchase, and if you don't like it just refund it before the time expires.

i like it alot like an 8.8 or 9.1 outta 10 for me.

Unless you're a big Sonic fan that enjoyed a good chunk of previous mediocre 3D titles, I'd skip this or wait for a big sale. Not worth full retail AAA price. :balloonicorn:
Thanks for the input everyone I greatly appreciate it.

But why would those people squander such sweet, precious time debating online about such smoke and mirrors? Are you the Denuvo Guard, here to make sure no one has an inaccuracies about Denuvo? By definition that would be a form of trolling.
Excuse my ignorance but what the heck is a Denuvo?

denuvo is a program that is ran with the game that makes it where you have to be signed into the interenet every few hours or whatever the time span is. it makes the player feel like they dont truly own the game and they are just renting it. like u have a subscription to play the game. some ppl don't mind it, but the old school cats dont like it. like some platforms dont require DRMs (having to log into the internet) to launch a game which i think is way cooler. they put Denuvo in it to combat piracy but there is no point , ppl are going to crack the game reguardless , if you make a good game and respect the consumers. people will buy your game

Its a mid platformer. If you really like platformers there is a lot to like.
The controls are fine, they are just a learning curve. There is fun to be had but thier are games out thier that are probably better.

If you already played alot of the big boy platformers and want another. I can recommend this but I would wait for a sale.

This is coming from a sonic fan.(not fan boy hopefully) Also if like sonic games, this is a good one. One of the better ones in 3d sonic.

Also check out spark the electric jester 3! Its a great action platformer like sonic.

I sympathize with the frustration and I hear specifically Denuvo as a problem, but I don't think people realize that almost every, possibly every, game you purchase digitally or receive a code for that you install on Steam is described as a temporary, revocable license to install the program. It's not just Denuvo, you don't own most digitally distributed games.

We probably need some kind of reform for it, but as long as Steam's servers make the content available even after it's no longer purchaseable (such as with games like Deadpool or Transformers Devastation or other things the license to sell expires for), it's more or less an acceptable state of affairs to most consumers (I am not one of them).

The license is described as revocable specifically so that a company can choose to stop delivering the content on demand so that they don't have to, say, 100 years from now, have a server up hosting a game it's unlikely anyone is ever gonna wanna download for legal purposes. We're watching this problem unfold right now with Sony and Nintendo, who are both closing internet storefronts for their older platforms (the PS3/Vita and Wii U/3DS, respectively). It's not clear if they'll let the content continue to be available if you purchased it or if they'll lock you out of even downloading it, but you certainly can't purchase most of the games on those platforms anymore after next March.
