hi! question about downloading
i haven't preordered a game on steam before, and while i did preorder for a few reasons, i wanted to go ahead and ask: does steam let you download the game ahead before release (so you can get right to playing on release day), and if so, when should you expect it to be available?

regardless i'm excited for this game and i hope everyone who is playing it will enjoy it :espresso:

for what I've heard, the game will start downloading before release in Nov. 6

but.. that's in consoles, idk if that apply here in steam.. I hope it does.

it unlikely that we'll get any early download due to how easy its become to just bypass the code keeping you from playing, its rare to ever see predownload on games on pc now
It depends on the publisher, Steam allows pre-loading but only when the publisher enables it. Though as many have said in other threads about pre-loading ,unless you have slow internet it might be better to download it once it's released because at release the pre-load will need to be decrypted.

I don't think SEGA does enable pre-loading on Steam.

thanks for the answers you guys! unfortunately i'm one with slow internet, buuuut it's not my main reason for preordering so it's not too big of a deal

Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour at 2am. Winter has to get dark at 5pm.

Depending on your internet speed and storage drive speed it can be better not to preload games. As preloads are encrypted and decrypting them can possibly take longer than downloading on release would.

Source? I was under the impression Steam encrypted downloaded preloads.

I'm really hoping they let us preload. Because I just want tot play the game immediately on release without waiting.
