What're your final thoughts on Sonic Frontiers since it's only a few days away from release date?

I was doubtful of the games quality but now YouTubers who didn't like the direction of sonic games like this game, I believe I can safety say I'm gonna pick this up after I play GOW:R.

I feel like I'll have a good time. For the first time in a decade I actually felt excited for a new game. First reveal was bloody terrible, but as time passed they kept showing more and more, and now I've seen so much to the point where I can confidently say I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Releasing a day before Ragnarok probably not the smartest idea.

I'm guessing Metacritic average will be 77 on PS5 / 81 on PC

I'm expecting an overall average or good game at most but also a bit divisive with people who will either love it or hate it, I don't think it will live up to the hype sega has been setting up and some people will be content with it or disappointed

Since sonic frontiers has Sakurai praising the game and how it won an award for the most anticipated game of 2022 "Japan Game Awards Future Division 2022" As well as how well the game is being recieved, i am excited for this new sonic game, As the devs over at Sonic Team are taking a new direction with the franchise.

yeah im gonna play god of war before this, but ill buy this too after on PC

That's not a high bar to cross. Even if it's better than anything Blizzard's done in the past decade or so, that doesn't mean it'll be good, and that's not the standard we should be expecting from this series.
