Drop rate depends on the dificulty
On gamwr you mostly geat ap to +3
On otaku +3 is a comon drop and you can farm for +5 - +7

I cleared everything in the game without trying this but apparently asking Imouto to "Shame me" makes her boost the clothes she is wearing to +99. That said I am certain it can't be cheap and if you're still early it's not like girls clothing helps you.

On gamer you do see a LOT more upgraded gear drop but it's not like THAT helps you either because the finale of Gamer mode is going to be a hard gear check no matter what you do.

Drop the difficulty to the easiest, play it till you meet the master for the first time then run all the way through the arena. By the end you'll have about 1.3 mil yen.
