At what point can I ask for a refund?

I bought RE8 with a lot of excitement to give this a try. Here we are over a year later and it's not out nor has any new gameplay come out despite a supposed October release. Kind of absurd and kind of feels illegal to use something as a selling point and not deliver?

A lot of us think this game might just get the can as they wanted to compete with other asymetrical games and its beta didnt really get a lot of players excited. They are currently doing a 2nd xrossover with dbd as well as fortnight so they know players want to plat as their chars but i just dont think they feel adding another game into the genre will reap any benefits. I too wish it was out already but they honestly need to reinvent the wheel more than doing another clone.

I don't actually expect one, I just think it could be a genuine legal issue at some point. Village was advertised to include REverse and so if it just doesn't come out...

Fam I'm no lawyer, but including something as a selling point in advertisements and then never actually delivering that thing definitely feels like a legal issue to me. Like we might have to wait for official word that it's been cancelled before it's technically an issue, but that sounds like an easy case to me. Whether it ACTUALLY sold anyone on buying the game or not.

We could wait 20 years for it to come out, it doesn't matter. They can delay it as much as they need or want lol + we have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ release date i'm sure.

I'll believe it when I see it. We haven't seen gameplay or a trailer in over a year and they're releasing more DLC for DbD which I just find incredibly strange and not super related.

Oh I'm sure there was payment tacked on in the value of the bundle.... game was already overpriced and I bet if the legality of was pushed the devs would be forced to admit that there was additional charge added to the original price of the game to include this,,, they probably knew full well that it would never release. $10 says if they were to become aware of a group of customers coming together to petition a lawsuit they would do something about it.

People liking to use RE characters in non RE games, but doesn't necessarily mean people want to play a completely different game inside RE. So just because the IP is successful even outside the game franchise it doesn't mean that attempting to imitate other games within the franchise is going to be successful.

That's something that Capcom is failing to understand. When I buy RE I want to play RE not DBD.
