Hey everyone! 💚

First of all—huge thanks for playing Oddventure and for all the incredible support so far. It truly means the world to us as a small indie team!

I’ve been keeping a close eye on your overall feedback, but I’m especially focused on everything related to the combat system. One of the key things I want to improve is the number and flow of encounters. I'm watching how players react, including checking out gameplay videos on YouTube and Twitch reuploads—those are amazing resources that show natural reactions and pacing.

For the full release:

I’ll be working on hitting that sweet spot with the amount of combat—not too much, not too little. One of the takeaways from Early Access is that more fights should be optional, so we’ll be adjusting enemy movement to allow players to sneak past them if they want. That way, both those who enjoy combat and those who want to grind can play their way.

I also agree with you all that more skill variety in battles would be great—that’s definitely in the plans.

The idea behind EA was to not overwhelm players with too much at once, especially with the new systems we introduced. But for the full version, you can expect more abilities for characters and more strategic options.

Oh—and we heard you loud and clear: combat sound effects are getting a rework based on your feedback! 🎧

And on a fun note… quite a few people have already asked about Oddventure plushies. All I can say is—hell yeah, I can't imagine the world of Oddventure without a plush Mr. Rabbit, Dodo, and more down the line! 🧸💥

Make the demo aviable again please , after all that time I would need to test it and get a feel for the possibly new writing again. I remember some weird talk about this but nothing clear.

Early Access Review

[For clarification, I did back this game on kickstarter]

Unlike one other game, I feel oddventure does some things right while having baffling ommissions that drag it down for me. For starters, I don't like the way the audio settings aren't in the main menu settings, that's baffling for me, honestly, the settings should be unified being able to be changed in game too. Another thing is a lack of auto save of some sort or more saves in general. For example, the fox dungeon is a long slog and while you can retry from the boss, if you kill the boss when you didn't intend to, your out of luck and need to try again trekking through the long dungeon again. I feel this is a good game mostly, but these several things need to be worked on to make it a great game. Overall, not disappointed with what's here and am glad to have played what I could, but that fox boss dungeon made me put the game down cause the lack of saves.....also the fact you can't reset the puzzle rooms infuriate me.
