This management game is going to get you money early in the game.
Also play the substories they give money and/or items, too. Or if you find plates sell them at the pawnshop.
Later in the game you are going to have lots of cash though.
Money basically is not an issue in this game thanks to managament mode. Just needs some time investment
Also It unlocks a secret party member
It will take sometime, but i always dive deep into these money making mini games and i love them
This or Oicho-kabu are the earliest and easiest ways. Management comes along somewhat later and takes a couple of real life hours before you get to the end and the cash just rolls in.
You'll need some basic strategy for either gambling game, play for the highest stakes and probably a willingness to save scum if you want to hurry things along though.
Poker on the other hand stupid and plays the same pattern all the time, its being like that in all yakuzas.
Mahjong on highest stakes is decent way to get early money and some other stuff if you can play it.
Bet small when you're not dealer. Then rely on the stupid bets of the AI when you have the statistical advantage. Same as poker, the AI is intentionally dreadful.
If you want you can save scum as well, the stakes are high so losses and wins are both large and the games are very quick. That doesn't really work out for Mahjong, Shogi or the like, which are complicated games that Westerners probably aren't too familiar with.
Mahjong really is not complicated in yakuza, the hardest thing is to find X button to show you when you have ready hand. Collecting triplets and straights not that hard.
Once you figure that 1-2 are crap tiles and 3-4 much better because you have +1 outcome for straight and start discard honors, thats basically all you need to know about mahjong in yakuza to get you started.
SHogi i did some puzzles, i just dont have patience to play it, nor do i really want to.
There were also ALOT 9-1 to the point i stopped betting once i saw 9 dealt to dealer lol.
