日本語化 Will someone mod the game and add Japanese language?

If you mean japanese spoken language option... yes, it's there, it has been confirmed for ages it's there and we can switch away from the english dub at any time.

obviously Yakuza 7 isn't released yet on Steam, but for Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1, and Kiwami 2, you can find a "Language" tab in the properties right click menu, and there's an option for 日本語 (japanese), which will change all the text to japanese.
Hopefully this option appears once the game is available for download.

On the store page there is no Japanese text, only Audio which means you can not swap the language.
And waiting for a translation mod is a lost cause sadly. Im pretty torn right now if i should buy it, My main reason to play this was to play it in japanese text with audio to improve my japanese.

I’ll just stick to my Japanese PS4 copy, lack of Japanese text option in this version is a big letdown

Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 2 (I don't own Kiwami 1) have the possibility to select Japanese language in the settings, even though it doesn't say it's supported on the store page. So maybe it'll be the same for 7? When the game releases I'll try it out for you.

ah ♥♥♥♥ you're right, it does. Now I'm confused, I checked the store page beforehand but I guess it just sent me back to the Yakuza 7 store page and I didn't notice.

I'll still check though, I'm learning Japanese so having a fun game to play while learning it would be nice.

The English dub is fantastic and the game wouldn't be nearly as awesome without it. I hope future Yakuza games with Ichiban have an English dub.

Nobody force you to play in Japanese, I wish people wasn't forced to play with English text instead of Japanese as well.

You know, freedom of choice is always a good thing.

I'm all for freedom of choice. But when weebs ♥♥♥♥ talk an amazing dub and say it shouldn't be there, I get pissed off. I wish you guys had Japanese text, honestly don't know why it's not there, but stop bad mouthing English dubs. You do realize there are bad Japanese voice actors too right?

I never said something shouldn't be there, I just said they shouldn't have removed the Japanese text.
And also I'm not a weeb :)

I like the Japanese voices, and I understand Japanese so don't bother listening to English voices, which I don't understand as well as Japanese so I didn't even bother try to listening the English dub for a single second.

All right, in your case that's fine. Most of the people who DO bad mouth the English dub can hardly speak Japanese, if at all. I incorrectly assumed your stance, because yours is so rare in the English speaking boards.
