Infinite Loading Screen Bug Fix
Initially wrote this in my review of the game, but posting this quick guide again here, just so more people can see it, & hopefully get their game playable without having to waste too much time searching about for solutions elsewhere online (when a lot of them don't even work).

Possible solution (if you can't skip the intro vid by pressing E, & the screen just blinks instead; then you've probably failed a step, so will need to redo the whole thing). So if you've already tried to start the game once before, then here's what to do;

1. C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\Documents\Mirrors Edge Catalyst Go to Documents, & delete the settings/save folder.

2. C:/ProgramData/Electronic Arts/EA Services/License/1026480.dlf Go here & delete this file; which is the Denuvo DRM token for this game (it's trying to connect online to servers that don't exist anymore to verify this). If you delete this, then it should attempt to create an offline token instead (assuming you follow the next steps correctly).

3. Start Mirror's Edge Catalyst from Steam, as soon as the game window pops up (NOT before then, or the game won't start), immediately either firewall the game & block its internet access, or disconnect your wi-fi/ethernet.

4. If you can then skip the intro, then you'll be able to play the game. If you can't skip it, then you've probably failed one of these steps.

PS - You have to repeat step 3 every time you want to play the game, otherwise I think it might mess up your settings files! (I'm not going to test it to find out lol). You can re-enable internet once you're in-game, & playing; though the game might nag you with "Game can't connect to our servers" message that pops up every now & again whilst you play. Also, I don't think achievements seem to work either (for anyone that cares about that sort of thing, & is thinking of buying the game).

How to Firewall a game using Windows built in firewall (If you use something else, then you probably won't need such a basic guide).

1. Go to bottom left of screen/search bar in Windows, & type in "Firewall" into the Windows search box/Start Menu.

2. Windows Defender Firewall should pop up, click it.

3. Then click on "Advanced Settings"

4. You may need to do this for both Inbound Rules/Outbound Rules, but then click on "New Rule..."

5. From Steam, click on games, find Mirror's Edge Catalyst, right click the game, Properties, browse game installation files. You will be adding the MirrorsEdgeCatalyst.exe file (from wherever you installed the game) to the firewall rules in order to block its internet access.

Alternate steps - Just download a real firewall, that isn't some half baked Microsoft junk, & do it probably much quicker/better from there. Any good firewall will have a "Lockdown Mode" which enables you to just quickly block internet access instantly from a single button, & turn it back on again just as quick. If you want to firewall the game this way in a separate rule, then you'll probably need to be quick, anyway (I don't think Windows Firewall will really be suited for this). Though you might be able to block the MirrorsEdgeCatalyst.exe (without the EA app, too, to bypass this - You will still need to do the initial login to even start the game though). You can also switch the EA App to offline mode itself, from within its settings. That should also work, too (though I haven't tested myself). NGL - got a bit lazy halfway through typing this guide lol.

"Just download a real firewall" You mean like the one you have already on every windows computer? Because the times when windows defender was bad are long over

Please, i need your help, its not working, tell me how to make the game starts
Open the AE and leave it off and open the game via Steam and it will open, it takes a few seconds every time you play, it leaves your AE off, otherwise it keeps loading infinite beauty

For anyone in the future, the people saying “turn ea off” really mean go into EA app and put it in offline mode so catalyst can’t connect to online services through it.
