Extreme Lag?
I'm getting intermittent 5 to 10 sec lags about every 5 to 10 secs. Any audio will play then stop til the video catches up. The initial text intro was the worst. afterwards, it wasn't as bad but still occurred in places. Trying to navigate the game menu is really painful. It's impossible to play like this.

Anyone else gotten this and resolved it?

Update: The only thing I can make out is when I look at performance it all 4 cores of my CPU maxed out even though I can open a browser do other things.

I haven't tried this yet, but would you have any idea how to transfer those files? I take it it's not as simple as just copy-pasting. Stuttering is killing me.

You mean from a HDD to a SSD? I've never had a SSD so sorry, no.

I excluded save game folder from antivirus, and it fixed the sutters for me.

Make sure your resolution scale is set to 1.

I had this problem for the longest time, and went crazy trying to figure out what the stuttering was. Keep in mind I am playing on an RTX 2080, 16gb ram, 3800X.
Finally figured out what the problem is that causes the stuttering. It's the game reading off the HDD. I played this game for months, constant stutters. Then I swapped out my HDD for a new SSD, bam, stuttering went all away.

I'd love to get a SSD but atm it's a little out of reach financially.

If it only was the HDD... but I do have both the game and the Savegame folder on my Samsung SSD 970 evo Plus 1Tb and it still stutters like whatnot despite constant frame times...
