Weird audio bug
The game sometimes has this audio bug for me that makes the audio ingame sound like some sort of alien encrypted audio message.

Does anyone else have the same bug?

Disable 'Origin in-game overlay' and that fixes it.

I can't even do that. Disabled overlay on origin and the games properties.
Overlay still shows no matter what.

The bug has returned, it worked earlier?

What the hell is going on

No idea. It's happening with Dragon Age II too, so i'm sure it's an Overplay/Origin issue but I just can't remove it.
Edit: Tried it with Plants vs Zombies (non-steam) quickly, it doesn't have the overlay but audio bug still exists.

I had FXSound (DFX Audio) running. Disabling that seemed to fix things. I can also open FXSound again after launching the game and it seems to be fine, for now.
Check if you have any other audio software/boosters running.

So... I'm not getting any audio at all, period.

Hi,

Just to add, I had this problem too (I have a SoundBlasterX-AE5 soundcard) turning off "Direct Mode" through the software fixed the issue.

Like @ac_denton said, seems to be related to some kind of HD audio or audio boosting.

+1, could never get that to work. Though I don't need to for this issue anymore, it's still silly it doesn't work.
Apparently (according to the internet) disabling the overlay improves the FPS in Origin games by a lot, so would be nice.
