ULTRAKILL
Radiance Totem.
Basically, an Idol clone that gives Radiance to enemies. It's 1% more interesting than enemies just "being the radiant" naturally. And it would make a Trifecta of "Immobile support enemies that you throw haymakers at".

Maybe it's exclusive to Encores and the Cybergrind.

oh please yes you could do so much cool ♥♥♥♥ with this
What do you think the Totem would look like?

I'm thinking of some dark Tesla Coil Machine covered in Pipes and Sheet Metal that shocks enemies with Rainbow lightning stuff to Radiate them. Kind of like it's a part of the Earthmover defense grid (without being part of the Earthmover defense grid).

Perhaps if you don't destroy it fast enough it could shock multiple enemies?

To be fair, Idols are demons, Deathcatchers appear to be demons, although I don't think that's yet confirmed, I imagine they'd want consistency, but this is cool too.

I do think it's worth considering how they'd apply radiance. Note that Idols already have the "transfer radiance to patient on destruction" trait, so these totems need to be more active. Would it be like they target a specific foe like idols, or they target any and all enemies over time? Would the effects go away on death, or would they be permanent? Either way it is a way cooler way to bring radiance into the mix than having it just be some status effect.

I'm not a game designer, so I don't know if this idea is good. But I think that it would work on a timer. Every 5 or so seconds it radiates an enemy, so if you wait 15 seconds you have 3 enemies sprinting full speed at you. (The time is obviously adjusted for balancing)

I think it would be funny if enemies gain their brutal attacks when radiated as well. For leaping Filth in the Harmless difficulty. (funny)

It could be an incredibly dynamic twist, rewarding the player if they reposition or focus the totem without forcing them to. I think it'd work even better as an actual enemy, giving you the choice to either invest time or resources into targetting this specific support, or clean up the arena and then kill it, which is a lot more interesting than the idols that practically force you to reposition if you want to kill the deadliest enemies.

Idol with legs kind of deal?

More tanky than an idol though, I think that'd work well. Otherwise it's simply too easy to destroy, which shifts it closer to the idol's role of making you reposition rather than engaging with the support itself.
What if it's a moving enemy that can still only be killed by a melee? I think that would be interesting.
