I really liked the previous state of the "Last Used Weapon" bind, i wish it was an option
As of this patch :
Last Used Weapon Bind no longer considers each variation a separate weapon

Ever since the red variants were added, i often found it pretty difficult to, for example, swap across two shotguns while having a jackhammer equipped.

In the previous version, the bind would consider variants as different weapons and it was a godsend for me. For example i could swap between my shotguns by using the same button over and over and it was really nice

In this version, i need to constantly alternate "next variant" and "previous variant", which simply has much higher attention cost required, specially when trying to do it at the same time as constant knuckleblasters or parrying enemy projectiles. So i just find it far less feasible/comfortable in fast situations like encore levels, high wave cg, etc to the point i hardly use it.

So id really like to have the option for Last Weapon Bind to consider variations a separate weapon, it completely fixed the small downgrade to the controls that i felt when the red variants were introduced

Absolutely agree, I wish Hakita will hear us. It also would be nice, if we had option to bind weapon variations to specific keys.

Its also dissapointing, that weapon swithing works differently than before the update, even after the fix. When I switching using number keys, I am expecting to switch for the first variation, not last used. And when I switching using quick switch, I am expecting last used variation. But both enabled and disabled option "remember last used variation" doesnt allow this.

this is still in the game, iam using it myself, make sure :

- "On swap to already drawn weapon" is set to "first variation"
- bind "variation 2" and "variation 3" (depends on your weapons order)

no clue about the last weapons bind tho

This doesnt work for me, i like it on "next variation". in the first time i equip a weapon in 2nd/3rd slot i press the weapon key multiple times
- bind "variation 2" and "variation 3" (depends on your weapons order)
wouldnt that make it behave differently for whether you wanna swap 1-2, 2-3 and 3-1? that really doesnt solve the problem if theres many different cases where i wanna swap back and forth

so yeah i really need the previous version of "Last Used Weapon" to come back, or else my ability to control the game will be kinda downgraded

my dumbass misunderstood your need. forget about what i provide, it locks your weapon bind to the first slot and makes variations bind "individual".

since you want to quickswitch you can only wait for Hakita to implement that ("Last Used Variation" ?) feature back, sorry mate

yeah thats indeed the purpose of this post!! i really hope they add it!!!!
edit : of course i could alternatively get used to alternating "next variation" and "previous variation", though to me it feels like it takes a lot of the attention away from the action and into my inputs so i cant play as well with it

im normally fine with changing my inputs, but this time it feels like the inputs will be trickier than before no matter what i choose
This is a great idea, but I like the pre-revamp last weapon used. I think they should add this and an option for the last weapon used specific "remember last variation used".
I agree with this post entirely. I would set my nukes up by equipping the red railcannon and then swapping to the core eject. I'd eject then his "Q" which is my quick swap and it would go to my red railcannon (which is the 2nd variant for me).

With this feature gone, it's pretty hard to re-learn the game all over again, making 1-E Brutal a nightmare lmao...
