P-2 needs a huge rework before i drop this game for good

well, P-2 is the final nail in the coffin for me.

i don't think anyone sane in the community finds the tedious eight whole encounters fun, and that all the cope in the forums so far is just for peer approval. you are forced to play chicken instead of confronting the boss directly thanks to all the idol ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the unreasonable amount of enemies overall puts a sour taste to p-2 by using LE LORE REASONS (last-minute hearsay-flavored word salad from useful idiots in the community) as justification to ruin the formula and add a glorified cybergrind. even if you liked this for whatever reason, you probably didn't like the boss, and that's exactly why the level has the annoying enemy spam in the first place.

to make matters worse, it is once again a wide hellhole full of enemies you absolutely cannot reach without the whiplash (which, let me remind you, still punishes you just for using it). either that, or you're stuck in tiny rooms with enemies capable of big explosive attacks and nauseating tunnels that damage and teleport you for grazing the barely recognizable red goop in it, forcing you to only go certain directions when you are surrounded by all sorts of enemies capable of sniping you from afar. let me reiterate: you are punished for trying to evade attacks like a normal person. this brings me into the next issue.

"spoilers" ahead (even though everyone already knew what the boss was going to be anyways): sisyphus prime. he's annoying. he shrugs off every single weapon in your arsenal and yet constantly beats down on you. hakita didn't have an idea on what to do with this boss except make minos but with twice of everything. twice the hp, twice the stamina, twice the shockwave spamming. you cannot dash away from his attacks, so what do you do? slide to preserve your stamina? no, he can hit you from behind and to the side if you do that. do you parry his attacks to refill your stamina, like what the balance changes tell you to? no, because the point of evasion and using stamina is to get AWAY from the enemy, which is apparently something hakita still doesn't understand in the five years he developed this game despite acclaiming himself as a better game designer than everyone else back when he decided that he hated people playing however they wanted and nerfed the whiplash. half a year was spent waiting on this update, and yet the big prize was a slap to your face and hakita personally scrutinizing you for thinking you were going to get a normal formulaic prime sanctum level where the boss alone is the experience of a lifetime. instead of learning something and the game forcing you to get better, you have to work around terrible level design and a sadistic mishmash of enemies that have no business being there, no matter how the elitist, tryhard, skull-bashing, pastel-worshipping idiots spin it around as LE SKILL ISSUE!!!1!! it is objectively bad game design.

you know what the worst part is? this update specifically encourages you to use parrying more often, and yet the best idea the developers had was to reward you was a full stamina refill, as if it doesn't already do that in three seconds. i have an idea; maybe let parrying blessed enemies break their idols if you're going to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the player with two invincible mindflayers that are free to spam all the homing projectiles and beams they want as they take advantage of your attention span being torn apart by several other enemies in the room?

i have been a fan of this game from the moment i bought it back when greed was the big new thing, and though i had my ass handed in P-1, it was a fair and fun fight that forced you to learn something. P-2 isn't. you have enemies deliberately placed to make you rely on the utilities hakita doesn't want you to use, and the only way you can reasonably beat this level is if you exploit glitches like dash storage that he will most likely nerf in the future if he finds people having too much fun with it, just like he did with the whiplash.

with that being said, i uninstalled this game and, unless the developers want to admit they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and fix the one level they had months to make, i'm not planning to touch it again. knowing the devs and their recent obsession with making everything about memes and self insert fumos however, that's probably not going to happen.

pretty much just skill issue and the need to just play easier to get used to how the dificulty has increased, like yeah do you expect that the new level was gonna be pinos 2, even minos prime is a punching bag, knowing his patterns it's easy as ♥♥♥♥, the flesh prison was the actual challenge for how unpredictable is.
Yet the arenas are really fun + the ost makes it even top notch, you are literally playing the levels designed to the tryhards, that P ranked the whole ass game, pretty much you have to understand your kit, your movement and tech, to beat those levels, and pretty much you have to PARRY to keep your health high and remember that PARRYING gives you back your stamina, I can understand the little corridors being a pain in the ass, but the rest just learn how to manage the crowds, the sawcon pretty much does almost all the job

You are here to kill demons, and they come by the wave. Do better, become faster, get those parries, and exterminate with high ordnance with extreme prejudice.
