update: turns out you just have to re-Install the game
Browse the local files for ULTRAKILL
Go to Prefrences>Binds.json
Open Binds.json in notepad, and Find a segment labeled "Hook"
It should look like this:
"Hook": [
{
"path": "OneModifier",
"isComposite": true,
"parts": {
"modifier": "<Gamepad>/leftShoulder",
"binding": "<Gamepad>/rightShoulder"
}
},
DELETE IT. This will cause ALL OF YOUR KEYBINDS TO RESET, so be sure to screenshot them first with Ctrl + Alt + prt sc (Print Screen) or just with F12
Be sure to backup the file just to be safe. This should fix the bug entirely.
Hope this helps!
Tysm it worked. I can see my whiplash keybind again.
It did not worked for me
If you made a backup, drag it out of the folders and onto the desktop, where the game can't look for it. You may want to label the backup differently.
What this does is separate the edited file from the unedited backup, making it so the game picks the one you want.
If it's not the backup, then idk what this could be.
thanks, have some points.
believe it or not, after i followed the above instructions, i can now actually bind mouse buttons in ULTRAKILL.
{
"controlScheme": "Keyboard & Mouse",
"modifiedActions": {}
}
and thats all, no hook no anything just that
