[RESOLVED] my whiplash isnt working

i'll press R, and my whiplash wont do anything, my screen will stay exactly the same, it is equipped and R is bound to the whiplash key, i dont know what is happening

i've now tried to kill V2 again, still doesnt let me whiplash

i've now verified the integrity of the game files and 1 file was unable to be validated, now being reacquired

100%, I've had the exact same problem. I've tried restarting the game, rebinding the key, even restarting all of steam to see if it solved anything. Nothing happens.

ok after uninstalling it, it gets to like 99% downloaded and stops, i try to press resume and it stops again

i have the exact same problem except that i can reinstall it, but even then the option is gone

Head to the Steam/steamapps/common/ULTRAKILL/Preferences. Right click on "Binds," then "Edit with Notepad++" (note that you have to have notepad++ installed for this) then edit it so that the document instead has this under hook
edit it so that the document shows this:
"Hook": [
{
"path": "<Keyboard>/r"
}
then click on file and then save.

I just reset the keybind it apparently had 3 Lmb binds to it so just delete those so it is only R

That worked for me as well, removing the four LMB binds that I never put there made Whiplash work. Seriously, I don't know how they got there.
