Visual Freeze

sometimes when im playing ultrakill the game will randomly freeze but it wont crash or stop the game its not consitent either i tried recreating it multiple times but i cant see to get it work it can happen ANY time that be fighting or just going through the level but in it wont freeze on the menu (that ive experience) or when im in the terminal ive experience most of these freeze in really heavy levels like 3-1 or 1-3.
for some reason the game will keep on running on the back but the screen will be stuck at a single frame, the game can be played normally with only diference being the screen is stuck in a single frame
something curious i see happening is that each time that freeze the game pauses automatically even if i didnt input it
i seen other people mention it in the forums having the same problem although it was back in 2021 and they had freezes in the menu and terminal but the bug seems to be active to this day
i activated vsync and set the frame limit to 60 and lowered my resolution but it still happens
any help or knoweldge of this is appreciated!!!
EDIT: putting in the launch options -force-glcore seems to fix this
