Mouse cursor locked in in centre of the screen when tabbing out

Tabbing out at the end of a mission, whilst the game isn't in fullscreen, makes it so my mouse cursor was stuck in the centre of the screen as if it was still in game (cursor kept resetting to the centre, which I presume is a thing done in games where the camera is mouse controlled). This persisted even if I ctrl + alt + delete'd to try get task manager open.

Alt + F4 worked fine at the very least.

this sounds like a curveball, but if you have a controller plugged in it might screw with your cursor position

Nah, no controller, that only gets plugged in when needed. And during gameplay the cursor is absolutely fine, same if you open the pause menu then tab out.

this might be a problem with overwolf. If that's the case you can just disable the overlay for ultrakill on the app by going on the gear icon on the top right corner. if you don't have overwolf and is having this issue, then I don't know
Edit: forgot to mention that this method worked for me, I can't say for sure if it will work or not
