ULTRAKILL
Brutal - Well Done Hakita
The new difficulty is everything I could've hoped it would be.

There's not a single change I've encountered that I disliked, all of it is just 👌

The AI & Boss changes are a creative mixed bag of fun and/or challenging. I even like the decision to make seemingly no changes to Mindflayers. lol

The adjustments to V1's health and stamina are great too, as far as I can tell, you heal 50% as much from blood, stamina regenerates slightly slower, plus a bit more hard damage too I think.

Overall I love it to bits. Excellent fricken work Hakita.

my only problem with it is that healing is inconsistent and i'm constantly like "WAIT WHY DIDN'T I HEAL FROM THAT" when i glance at my health

I noticed that too, I think they lowered the heal distance. Parrying is quickly becoming more & more enticing:

1: They made parrying more lenient.
2: They made parrying restore all your stamina.
3: Stamina restores slower.
4: Healing with blood is half as effective.
5: Healing with blood is harder due to the reduced blood healing distance.

We're gonna need to rewrite the lore - "V1 is a robot that heals with the blood of its enemies by punching things."

Wonderful. Its going to be a lot harder to play now, because i tried to beat 0-5 with normal progression (revolver, shotgun and a feedbacker) and that was really hard, because you need to dodge the updated cerberus (two dashes) and for a player who relied heavily on dodging rewiring myself will be hard

I am not too great at this game but I am not bad either and those guys killed me 22 times in brutal. I am gonna wait until they fix this issue.
i'm just trying to heal off gabe 2 to p-rank him so i can try brutal sisyphus but it keeps bugging out and giving me no health and then i cry.

From what I can tell, they may have removed Cerberus' aim adjustment on their charges, allowing you to slide out of the way of both instead of dashing.

The only change I'd like to see for brutal is giving the Guttertanks their trip animation back, because it always makes me lol.

From what I have experienced, they rarely miss. And maybe against one it's viable. On 0-5 the arena is very small. Just imagine the Cerberus jumpscare room from p-2. If those changes are intended as feature, we are all ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I mean. Not that I am great at the game, but I p-ranked every available level on violent in the game as for now. And when I was searching for 7-s I didn't understand at first, but then there was that final room in 7-3. The room is hard on it's own, but my god, I died there like 10 or so times on violent. Which is, weird, I p-ranked it not so long ago. I thought that it's me problem, but I think it's just a bug

Okay, I just went in and tested it, I was wrong about the aim adjustment being disabled all together, but I don't think the second dash has aim adjustment.

This means you can dash out of the way of the first one, then slide to avoid the second if you want to save Stamina.

I already did that part btw, although I killed all of them almost instantly using a Slab Sharpshooter Shot + Railgun + Saw Trap to clear them all out in about 1 or 2 seconds. I P Ranked the whole game again on Brutal the night of the update dropping. xd

I think the only change that kinda sucks is the change to sentries. Firing 2 instead of 1 means that in normal combat (stopping them from ever firing), they function exactly the same and aren't more interesting or more difficult, but it also opens the door for very frustrating pseudo 1-shots if you make a mistake. Would have been better to make them charge up and fire way quicker, since that would change their target priority and alter the flow of combat more than just "bigger punishment if you mess up", which is closer to artificial difficulty than i would expect from ultrakill. I hope they get better treatment in UKMD
