the term femboy was literally invented as a sexualized archetype for ppl looking for feminine boys to ♥♥♥♥ on tumblr or whatever in like 2010. it's like "twink". it's not the same as trans people or even non-binary ppl or whatever neurodivergent internet children think it means now.

it's HIGHLY disturbing watching stuff that was cemented in sexuality becoming more and more accessible to children, and then ppl wonder why there's massive pushback against it when history keeps getting rewritten over and over to make sexual things seem less sexual.

can't wait for 10 year olds to identify as "leather daddies" and "power bottoms" once those are rewritten to be nothing about sex and claim to be about aesthetic & personality instead. you can LITERALLY do this rebranding logic with any fetish you want, does that not highlight the problem here? adult sexuality is getting interwoven into the fabric of aesthetic to the point it's becoming "child-friendly".

i'd err on the side of caution and avoid all that with children anyway considering goth and punk are very heavily adult-themed, i wouldn't be comfortable seeing children under 14 indulging in that. that's more of a mid teen thing imo

but ya the sexualized version of goth shares the same name as a music-based aesthetic, in a perfect world i'd have the two be separated and call the fetish "goth chasers" or whatever. which is kind of a microcosm of the problem yah? the sexualized version and the child-friendly version becoming so interwoven u cant tell them apart and have to judge them on a case-by-case basis. there should be clear separators
