its like pulling teeth with you people. every topic i read about this is snarky comment after snarky comment.
Why does raw mouse input matter? I'm curious.

skill issue
While raw input may be easily addable and very useful for the people it's useful for, the game does a lot to not be that much about aim.

Even without the penaltyless autoaim setting that can cover your entire field of view in play, there are:
  • generous hurtboxes on most enemies
  • very early access to explosive projectiles and less, but still early access to self-centered shockwaves
  • hitscan redirectors
  • projectile attractors
  • omnipresent autoaim on melee attacks
  • close range combat healing that encourages being close to enemies which makes them optically bigger and easier to hit

It reduces the amount of variables that determine rotation speed. I figure going from a game with it to one without it makes it take extra work figure out the in-game sensitivity value.

Because your mouse is desktop speed, across many games. It makes it DEAD simple to have transference of ability. As well, it can make it so your aim feels less floaty. I fairly dislike having "Floaty" aim on a mouse. I use a mouse for any game ever, I have to aim in.

the floaty aim comes from input lag and that's cuz the game isn't exclusive fullscreen (still pretty shocking no one notices this). also raw input bypasses windows pointer speed so it does the opposite of what you're saying

drop this suggestion in this forum's suggestion tab, then pray the devs care.
maybe drop it on the devs' discord server if it contains a suggestion channel, then pray the devs care.

sincerely can't help you further. that said you're more likely to get serious answers there than by dropping a "wtf devs, couldn't you code this obviously essential feature" in steam forums general discussions.

depressing, i get. but people not noticing ♥♥♥♥ is unsurprising imo.

you'd think *someone* who plays cs2 or some other comp shooter where they optimise input lag in like 50 diff insane ways would notice. the big tell usually is alt tabbing immediately instead of the monitor/computer being like "oop give me a sec, black screen time"
i suspect you filter 90% of ultrakill players at "exclusive fullscreen", while another 9% noticed, shrugged, and thus left the fact untold. remaining percent brings it up too sporadically to be visible.

ive googled it before and not a single person has brought it up lol which is why it blows my mind

I will never understand why people complain about these things in steam threads where literally nobody who actively reads them can actually do anything with that information.
