I need help with 1-3 P rank

Im trying to get all levels perfect but on 1-3 I always get a A when it comes to kills

You do not need to do the secret encounter for the S in kills.

You need to get 125 kills from what I remember. You have more than 7 minutes to do 1-3 so I would advise running through the stage again to ensure that all the enemies spawn. Sometimes you need to walk past certain areas to trigger spawns.
So I guess technically, you can do the encounter if you're missing 2 kills though and don't feel like going through the stage. You're risking a dying to them though since it's a reasonably tough fight.

Go to red first , then use hole in broken wall in "church" and don't go all way trough, jumb off tube & put red scull on place, then do blue scull loop & right to final boss (no need to kill swordmachines (if you not belive use tab menu after you kill final boss))
If you will be stlylish, fast and won't foget to kill em all you most likely get P rank

There is no need to go for secret encounter.... unless you hawe time and wana get some score

If you got an A, you must've gone through both paths. You sure you didn't just forget about some enemies on some stairs? the ones close to the blue skull comes to mind that aren't locked, and the ones that have the lava pool (those might be the same, it's been a while since i played on 1-3)
but as the others said, if you're just 2 kills shy from 125 after beating hideous mass then soap the secret encounter (if you don't have the green arm make sure to finish layer 4 first)

What I did for P rank was blue skull half first, go right at the fork and get the soap, run through, and over to the red half, and then drop the soap, grab the red skull and the health boost from the hole in the wall, and kill the hideous mass. I initially tried to get the soap into the boss room somehow, but since you need to drop the soap in order to pick up the skull, it wastes too much time to go back and grab the soap before the fight, and the soap despawned sometimes as well.
