Confused about the jumpstart electric rail tech

Isn't it almost pointless to use jumpstart here? The conduction from the railcannon strips the nails off every enemy, meaning there's no conduction from jumpstart at all.

From my understanding (and sandbox testing), not using jumpstart in this video would have made no difference. Am I missing something?

when something attached to the jumpstart dies, it releases an extra shock. without the jumpstart, you would deal about half damage.

Ahh, so the enemy attached to the jumpstart needs to die in order for it to work properly? I was using saws to make jumpstart finish, so that's probably where I was going wrong. I'll do some more testing, thanks!
