ULTRAKILL
Why buy this when the dev is ok with pirating it?
Honest question.

you might wanna check your pc dude, steamunlocked takes their games from malware sites like igggames (which packages their own drm into games, put crypto miners into them, and have also doxxed owners of other sites), they also tell you to run their games as administrator, which they have no reason for doing, and is beyond sketchy
dont worry dude, i dont pirate anymore, and the last time i did was over half a year ago on my previous pc. this ones clean.

I think they were talking to me since I do this much more (though of course I buy most games in the end anyway as I like the bonus features included with steam)

I always saw it as directed to me given the previous paragraphs in that original comment.

He said literally on those words, you can spread the news and good comments about the game to make the Devs, have people who can afford the game if you cant, he said is ok, but is not make the game die because is not funds for new Equipment to upgrade or even to make future games.

Is easy to have the Game free with Piracy, but on the same time is a risk.

Hakita only supported piracy to have a good pr. They need money to live and to continue to make more money, and being openly anti piracy, especially adding DRMs, is a great way to agitate your customers, the people you need.

How they earn that profit is up to them, it could be tarnishing a franchise for quick money or keeping good trust in a fanbase for the long term. But if every dev had their way, they should absolutely take the path of profit. And piracy is a significant loss of profit, even in great products.

These devs are against piracy. It makes no logical sense for someone who needs money not to like money. They just want you to think they're humble, so they can possibly earn more from others.
Game fit my needs, i buy for support dev cuz like it.

Why you complain about it if you could refund - Is a question.

Because of giving someone money for your appreaciation from their product??

You both seem to misunderstand what I have been saying.

I was specifically telling you that Hakita only "supports" piracy because of the good pr generated from that. Obviously, if there was a way to prevent piracy without generating negative pr, I'm sure many developers would flock to that option.

Besides, why pay for something you already pirated? The only possible reasons to care would be any form of online multiplayer or steam exclusive features such as the workshop.

You should not be paying for something if only to "support the developers" as they will never personally know you. Developers should only ever support piracy if being openly against it generates less profit. It's all about making money and Hakita knows that many people find seemingly humble or friendly developers much easier to buy from. But the truth is still that they are either pro profit or pro piracy and there's no inbetween.

It seems you two just see your money as disposable and unimportant.

I also find it really funny that you expect me at 450+ hours in to get a refund for simply talking about the importance of making money and not even complaining that I'm disappointing in the product I bought.

Yeah but why bother if they're ok with pirates stealing their product?
If they don't care why should anyone else?

it has nothing to do with the devs being ok, nothing you're just making an excuse for pirating,
I own over 4 times the games you do just on Steam.

This is probably it.
Only a liar would actually say it's ok to steal from them.

- why would I buy one of the best fps games of recent years when the devs are okay with it?

No way?? Marketing teams lying about something to get good pr?? That's never happened before!
