how to fight the hideous mass?

I got ultra kill yesterday for part of the humble bundle "boomer shooters" bundle and im stuck on the hideous mass boss fight. I only have the shotgun, nailgun,and revolver and they're all fully upgraded. (also im really bad at using the coin if you're wanting me to use it)

you aim for the red spot or the tail
or if you wanna skip all of it on the easy/blue skull side on the first room on your right not foward if you go up where the flamethrower guys are there is soap
you must then press f to pick up the soap and throw it at the hideos mass

Play very aggressive while the hideous mass is standing, going for the weak point on his belly is vital as it does 3x the damage. Go all out and use your green nailgun for max damage. If you still have time after loading all your nails in, use your shotguns.

It will make a sound before it flips over, dash away (rebind to a nicer key like capslock for max efficiency) and jump or wall jump on the walls to dodge the shock waves. Use your dashes to get away from the tail's harpoon because it hinders all mobility. From here, shoot his tail using your revolver (preferably coins) to damage him until he decides to stand up again.

Rinse and repeat until the final phase. Jump on top of him and go for the belly, its lack of health will let you tank before you die. Make sure to remember that it doesn't die when it loses all health, it dies after it explodes. This is important because his motar shots do 65 damage, the most of any attack in the game.

This is the safest and quickest way to kill them early game. Remember that the terminals will typically have useful hints for bosses you encounter, such as the one in the third layer.

With V2 you can just use second shotgun's explosive alt and dash through him repeatedly. Don't worry about getting a super clean fight or anything; go back later once you have more weapons if you want to.

A tougher boss, use your explosions and speed to dodge him while using minimal aiming to do decent damage. Keep your coins to use when near him to heal easy, or create a safe zone consisting of nailgun traps for V2 to walk into for you to heal.

Try to parry his shotgun if you can, otherwise, coins are great.

what is coin punching? I've never heard of it

You... punch coins. Its in the name bro. Walk back, rmb, wait, press F. Or walk forward press f after rmb if you want. Its the same as punching anything else except coins bounce when punched into things. V V2 this hurt him in his intro for some reason.
