the elevator is kinda weird.

the elevator is what you go through at the end of the level but its kinda weird cuz for example at the king mino's boss fight when you kill minos there is an elevator in his throat but it doesnt go down into his body instead it just goes downwards into the floor.

I thought the weirdest part was how you could not only use your weapons in it but how it also just mario 64's you back up until you start a new level

its because hell is weird and hell stole human tech to make the elevators and it (hell) just decides where EVERYTHING will EVER be (which is also why gluttony isnt necessarily the insides of Minos, because that's not only geometrically impossible but also because hell doesnt follow geometry and gluttony is sometimes minos and sometimes not, its just up to it and what it wants you to experience.)
