Unoriginal main character much?

I just finished playing ULTRAKILL, and I can't help but vent my frustration about what seems to be a blatant case of character design plagiarism. It's disheartening to see a game with so much potential resort to copying rather than creating something original.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room: the main character. ULTRAKILL's protagonist is a robot with a camera for a head. Sound familiar? That's because it's an almost identical rip-off of the Cameramen from Skibidi Toliet. I mean, seriously? Is this the best the developers could come up with? It's like they took a lazy shortcut instead of investing time and effort into crafting a unique and memorable character.

I get it, inspiration can come from various sources, but ULTRAKILL's robot feels like a shameless clone. The lack of creativity is disappointing, especially considering the hype surrounding the game's supposed innovation. How are we supposed to get immersed in a world that seems to lack its own identity?

Character design aside, the narrative also echoes too closely to Skibidi Toliet. ULTRAKILL attempts to delve into the consequences of artificial intelligence and technology gone rogue, but it lacks the charm and humor that made Skibidi Toliet's storyline so unexpectedly enjoyable. It's like they took the framework of a successful series and tried to force a serious narrative onto it without understanding what made the original work.

I was genuinely excited about ULTRAKILL, hoping for a fresh and unique gaming experience. Instead, I feel like I've been served a reheated version of something I've already played. It's frustrating to see a potentially great game fall short because of unoriginality.

Have any of you noticed this, or am I overreacting? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the character design and if you think it's fair to call it out for copying.
