ULTRAKILL Timeline Question

So!
Thanks to the Earthmover's (Benjamin, my beloved <3) terminal entry, we know that the Final War lasted (at least) 200 years. That's great, we have some concrete numbers to work with!

The only other specific date we have is V-1 last firmware version, dated 2112.08.06.
We know that V-1 was being developed right at the end of the Final War, so much so that it wasn't even finished, remaining a prototype until the very end.

With this in mind, we can deduce that the end of the war was around the 2110s, but then the numbers don't add up!
How could the biggest war ever, featuring blood-based robots and ever more sci-fi weaponry, start (at the latest) in the 1910s?

I do not think Hakita made a mistake. I think this was intentional.

I think this could mean that the ULTRAKILL timeline isn't our own.
As far as we know, the 1910s of this timeline could be technologically equivalent to a speculative 2500s of our timeline! Who knows!

But why do I jump to the "must be another timeline!" conclusion?
Because of TESTAMENT II and IV, in which God explicitly writes of "failure after failure" and "uncountable cycles of creation" when referring to his attempts at creating a mind without free will.

Either that or the premises of my reasoning are incorrect and I'm out here just chasing ghosts :)

you technically could be right!
while nothing suggests the firmware being latest or even being a date at all(even if it suggests so) this probably means that the final war incident doesnt take place in our timeline whatsoever. although i feel like a different timeline from ours was already implied through the hell excavation project and all this crazy machinery which we dont have or is nearly impossible, this has interesting lore implications on the world of ultrakill itself

Halkita implied it can't be called WW1 if nothing came after it. So yeah it's most likely something along those lines.
