ULTRAKILL
how to style correctly?
i can style fine but sometimes i feel like im not doing something right, im heading to p ranking all levels, so time is what worried me the most but styling has been a little challenging to me, like people reaching ULTRAKILL ranking on ACT I or early levels and i only ever got it on act II and cybergrind. so if anyone got any sugestions id gladly take them!

Swapping weapons constantly usually helps, below the style meter you can see a bar that tells you how "Fresh" a weapon is, the fresher it is, the more style you will get from it.
Being constantly on the move also helps, as you get a bonus for being in the air and sliding, it also helps with dodging attacks.
Killing a large group of enemies at once also gives a ton of style, a trick of this is to snipe a core eject grenade with your malicious railcannon to create a massive explosion

Landing coin splitshots and parrying your own shotgun in midair will be plenty to generate enough style for a P rank almost all of the time. Slamming a group of enemies into the air and blowing them up while you're also jumping is also a good way to generate a ton of style very quickly (rocket launcher excels at this.) Basically just jump constantly for that 3x score multiplier and keep your weapons fresh.

parrying your own coin means doing the fistful of the coin right? oh yeah sliding and jumping like a monkey are style savers no lie frfr
so the rocket launcher is pretty much a slam kill, but portable? nice

You can also dash when backfiring the pump shotgun to create a big explosion centered around you anytime

you won't be rewarded or penalized for weapon diversity if you don't have more than 1 weapon/variant

Coin parrying, coin splitshots, & shotgun pellet parrying (called projectile boosting) are 3 diff things, but yeah fistful of dollar has a style bonus

well if i dash on the pump explosion, will i still take damage?

sooo is it better or worse than using multiple weapons??

oh yeah im aware, fistful of dollar is a bit tricky to hit but def satisfying to hit, i still dont get projectile boosting, it happens by luck sometimes

You have invinsibility frames when you dash, so if you time it just right, you will take no damage

Not really, even with the removed freshness meter its still pretty hard to get style with just one weapon

you need to punch like a few milisecond after shooting, thats the only tip i got, ive projectile boosted so much that its become second nature

probably worse, maintaining high freshness gives you 1.5x score multiplier

Speed is a lil' factor, you're basically punching your bullets as they come out of the shotgun so during the start it's easier to be moving slowly until you get the hang of it

makes full sense, no penality but no advantage, would still be hard to achieve a lot

i see i see, this seems like a honest job for the sandbox:summercat2023:
